Ah Chang's Porridge

13th May, Wednesday

This is located at Toa Payoh Central, behind Singtel and along the stretch with Choo Chiang and Hiang Ji.

Century Egg Porridge with Lean Pork

The porridge was disappointing. It tasted so bland that me, K and her friend all had to add light sauce into it for more flavour. And the interior of the place was freaking hot and stuffy, even with fans blowing (the wind seemed unable to reach us). $4.50

V's verdict: 5/10

Mixed Pork Porridge

Basically, it's just the same porridge with different ingredients. Conclusion: equally lousy.

K's verdict: 5/10

Braised pork intestines

Okay, this wasn't too bad. At first bite, this seemed like consolation for the disappointing porridge. Lightly seasoned, not too oily, and didn't taste too strong. $5

Conclusion: I am not coming here again. Other than porridge, they pretty much have nothing else, and their porridge is frankly speaking, quite poor. Add the lousy ventilation, and it's a no man's land for me.

V's verdict: 6.5/10
K's verdict: 7/10
